Legal Education

The Legal Education Section provides a forum for members of the SLS and non-members, whether advanced or in the early stages of their academic careers, who have an interest in researching any aspect of teaching, learning and assessment in law to meet and to discuss ideas. It invites submission of papers concerned with a wide range of issues related to the subject matter of the Section, a range that covers the very philosophical foundation of legal education to the practicalities and best practices of teaching law at higher level. It aims to be inclusive and so contributions from any academic angle or point of view are welcomed. The Section meets annually at the SLS Conference and is a forum for debate, which is triggered by papers given by those interested in the topic. The emphasis is placed on work in progress, so there is plenty of opportunity for discussion, though final papers are, of course, also welcome.
