CHULS Letter: Conference Support for Law Academics

The SLS appreciates that many institutions in our sector are under financial strain and that this has led to a growing trend to refuse or limit support for conference attendance by staff members.  Together with our colleagues at the SLSA and ALT, we have sent a letter to the Committee of the Heads of University Law Schools (CHULS) urging Heads of Law Schools to push for ongoing support for law scholars to continue to attend conferences. A copy of the letter is available here.  We will also continue to review the financial support we are able to provide to members through our Additional Support Fund (ASF).
