Re-Imagining Conflict-Transformation: Making Memory Meaningful: A One-Day Workshop
Date: 6th May 2016
Venue: Bournemouth University
This one-day workshop explores interdisciplinary and innovative approaches to dealing with a country’s troubled past through memorialisation as a key aspect of transitional justice.
We invite contributions in the form of presentations and case-studies that seek to juxtapose the benevolent intent of international community efforts in truth-finding and shaping memorialisation to local responses in an attempt to identify, discuss and analyse what new, fruitful and integrative ways of engaging different stakeholders with memory and the material heritage of war can be developed and supported.
